Your Territory

DevotionsYour Territory

Joshua 1:3

I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.

If your body is the temple of the living God, then it is a restricted territory for the enemy. The reason being, the Trinity lives and work in it. Your body is a territory given to you by God. You own complete Jurisdiction of your body. When God gives you a place, he gives you complete authority over it. For he said

“Joshua 1:3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.”

Your territory may be your spiritual life, family, work place, environment, etc. It can also be a land you have stepped upon. The devil is aware of the power we possess when we oversee these territories. As a result, he is in constant battle to take us aware from overseeing our God given territories. Unfortunately, due to lack of knowledge we ignorantly give up our territories to the devil.

“Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

When you don’t know how to rule, then dark forces will rise to impeach you and become rulers of your territories. Why are you afraid when the earth is of the Lord? Why are you crying because of your situation? Stand up in the Name of Jesus and recover your territory. Do not allow the enemy use your body in glorify himself, do not allow the enemy ride on your family. The time of recovery is now!

When you look at your past, what do you see? Do you recognize a spiritual growth in your life? I must tell you, a Christian life that does not grow spiritually cannot be effective physically. Not until you claim a ground spiritually you cannot win a physical battle.

“Joshua 6:1-5 Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.

2 And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.

3 And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days.

4 And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.

5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.”

Looking at the life of Joshua, we discover how Joshua despite several challenges and discouragements persisted in knowing the God of Israel. Joshua understood the place of the supernatural that was why he obeyed Gods’ command to walk round the wall of Jericho.

Before you recover a territory, you must at least know a bit about the territory. You cannot recover a territory you don’t care about, neither can you recover a territory you don’t make effort to recover.

Jesus tells us how the kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent takes it by force. You must fight to recover stolen territories from the devil.

“Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.”

The sons of God cannot afford to be stagnant. As the end draws near, every child of God must recognize the need to draw near to God.  We must not allow the enemy to get hold of our heart through the things of the world, rather we should always be watchful because the enemy is cunny. He comes like a thief to steal away your gifts, territories and destiny. But as you cling to the spoken words of God concerning your life, you will surely overcome.

From today, we must make efforts to cling to the promises of God for our life and begin to claim our territories through fervent prayers, reading, and speaking the word of God to our territories. Speak life to your territory today and see the hand of God working great and mighty things in them.
