John 9: 1 -3
And as he passed by, he saw a man blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man, or his parents, that he should be born blind? 3 Jesus answered, Neither did this man sin nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
Yesterday my wife ministered from this portion of the bible, as she emphasized the fact that the man mentioned here was blind from birth in other for the Glory of God to be revealed, a question crept my mind. “What if this blind man knew his suffering of being blind was to show forth the glory of God? what if he had an option to choose whether to be born blind and glorify the name of the Lord or to be born perfectly healthy and live his own life. What really would he choose?
This same question is for us today, what would you really love to do? Give glory to God? or give glory to yourself?
Jesus had the opportunity to choose the riches of this earth but He rather chose a lowly place designed to reveal God’s glory.
Do not be distracted by messages emphasizing on fame, prosperity, affluence, but do not lead you to relinquish your personal gains for God’s will.
Search yourself today, who’s glory do you pursue? even if God’s will hurts, will you follow?
God bless you
