When sin knocks

DevotionsWhen sin knocks

Text: Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2. But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Sin is the enemy of a believer’s faith.

Satan is the master of sin, the high priest of sin.

Satan knows that God hates sin and for this knowledge, he uses every device to lure believers into sin.

It was sin that separated man from God at the Garden of Eden and brought death to all mankind. Romans 5:12.

No man should think fit of himself without a daily examination lest he fall.

It is normal for men to fall into diverse sin and temptation when we open the door to the enemy, but it becomes abnormal for that fellow to remain in that sin.

When sin knocks and receives entertainment, it grows and brings forth death. James 1:15.

Sin brings about shame, it reduces a king to a slave, it takes honor and dignity away from men.

Little wonder why Samson in the Bible lost his strength and sight as he entertained sin.

As God’s children, we must hate what our father hates and love what He loves.

Today, God wants us to live on total obedience to His word and reliance to the leading and direction of His Spirit.

When sin knocks on your door, don’t entertain it, rather resist it.

Even when you fall into diverse sin, do not stay there, run back to God and continue your fight.

God only hates sin and not sinners.

The love of God is shown abroad through Jesus Christ the son for the salvation and redemption of our soul.

Christ died for sinners, to redeem them back to God.

Identify the category of sin that pulls you back and daily cry to God for help and redemption.

Are you falling into sins that easily beset? Hebrews 12:1.

Are you struggling with secret sins?

Are you struggling with conscious sins?

You must make a decision to daily seek for the Lord’s help in prayers until you see that grip of sin off you.

Do not hide your sins and pretend like all is well, that’s the devil’s strategy to lure you into eternal destruction.

It is also important we gather with other brethren, pray together, share God’s word and encourage ourselves, it will keep the tempter away.

I pray the Lord to release upon you the strength to overcome sins and weaknesses in Jesus’ name.
