Text: Luke 15: 20. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
Love is more than a sound language, it speaks, it is visible when we show it.
When pain comes, love speaks.
When disappointment comes, love speaks the language of hope and forgiveness.
When we grow weary over people, love speaks the language of patience.
Love speaks peace, it speaks endurance and kindness, it speaks the truth at all times. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
When we were lost and yet sinners, the love of God spoke to us, through Jesus Christ His Son.
When we speak the language of love, we would have no need to heal wounds, mend brokenness, and many other issues of life.
The language of love is the greatest of all languages.
When we speak love, there would be no need to kill, envy and plot evil for another.
The language of love is the voice of God.
The parable of the prodigal son gives us a good example of this type of love.
To the son’s untimely demand for his share of the inheritance, the father didn’t reply with angry words about ungrateful children. Though the prodigal’s attitude must have caused pain, the man held his tongue and did not retaliate.
He chose to love, sacrifice without complaint.
Though he knew his son was committed to a ruinous course, the father quietly fulfilled the request. In doing so, he chose the way of love, directing his efforts towards preserving their relationship.
Wait patiently. Out of deep affection, the father let his son leave and stay away. What heartache the man must have felt! Yet he remained hopeful and waited for the young man to recognize that sin cannot deliver what it has promised.
This patient response is possible only through the power of agape love (1 Corinthians 13:4). The Holy Spirit’s work in our life empowers us to show selfless and sacrificial devotion to the development of another person. In that way, we become people who respond calmly, patiently, and without complaint.
When love speaks, sin will lose it’s holding on people.
Today, God wants us to love more than hate, love more than envy, let love have it’s perfect rule and place in our life.
Show love to the poor and those who you are more better of than.
Show love with your kind words and actions.
When a consistent love replies wickedness, repentance would have it’s full place automatically.
I pray for you today, that as you walk in love, may God shine His light of favor upon you in Jesus name.
