Text: Deuteronomy 1: 6. The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:
7. Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.
There is a time you need to let go, in order to let in.
When we don’t confront, we cannot come in front.
The enemy of tomorrow in the life of a man is today.
We get so comfortable in a particular area or get so comfortable with a particular activity that when it’s time to Move, we are gripped by fear.
We have the fear of the unknown, the fear of the future, the fear of sustenance, the fear of provision, the fear of letting go.
But I tell you the truth until we obey the first instruction that says Move! Provision will never come, help will never come, victory will never come, the future we desire will never come.
The point where you might be celebrating victory might be the point where God is saying, don’t settle down for less. You must cross over to the other side.
Don’t get too comfortable with the praises on this side, don’t get too comfortable with the salary on this side, don’t get too comfortable with the accolades on this side.
You must move when God tells you to.
God’s instruction is not for us to make negotiations with Him.
You must know that it is dangerous to argue with God and disastrous if you win the argument.
A story is told in 2 Kings 7:3-20 of how God used four leprous men, in redeeming Israel from a severe famine.
These leprous men who were just there, thought to themselves, we have leprosy and during their time, leprosy was isolated.
In their words they said, if we stay here, we’ll die because of our condition.
Even if food will come, we’ll still die cos it’ll never get to us.
Isn’t better we journey to the enemy’s camp and beg for bread, if we die, we die.
If they had not moved as God had led them, they would still die because of their condition.
Beloved, be rest assured that God will not instruct you or send you on a journey alone. When God says go, it means He’s already there, He has made all things ready for your pleasure and satisfaction.
Abraham is a good example when God instructed him to sacrifice his only son Isaac, He promptly obeyed and embarked on the journey as God had instructed.
Little did he know that God had already made provision for a sacrificial lamb and it was just a test.
If he had not obeyed, he would have missed out of God’s blessings.
God never wanted Isaac’s blood as He already had plans of sacrificing His only son Jesus Christ. Genesis 22, John 3:16
Have God told you that it’s time to start up that ministry, that business, that project, then it is time to move.
If God has sent you, be rest assured that He’ll make the provisions.
The Bible shows us as Jesus sent His disciples on an Evangelical outreach, He instructed them to go with nothing, not even a purse or money because all you need is God Himself, His presence, His Spirit and nothing else.
Luke 10: 4. Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way.
Luke 22: 35. And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
Again, it pleases God that we also move away from sin and iniquity.
Has God convicted you of sin?
You must move away from sin and iniquity to be a friend of God.
Have you dwelled so long on the mountains of evil habits, such as smoking, pornography, masturbation, lies, stealing?
It is time to let go and move into God’s light.
Lord i pray for a desire to study your word more, a heart to love you more, an encounter and experience to trust you more in Jesus’ name I pray.
