When God laughs

When God laughs

Psalm 2

Why do the nations conspire[a] and the people plot in vain? 2 The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, 3 “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.” 4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. 5 He rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, 6 “I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.” 7 I will proclaim the Lord’s decree: He said to me, “You are my son; today I have become your father.

Our God laughs, he looks down from heaven to see the plots of evil men against his beloved and laughs them to scorn. I can imagine how loud God laughed when Pharaoh insisted on pursuing the children of Israel even into the red sea. It must have been an interesting time in heaven. This does not mean God is wicked, it only tells us how God jealously guards his children, proving to rebellious and unrepentant sinners that he is God above all. In matters concerning any of Gods child, God is fully aware and present.

As a child of God, be encouraged in that situation of yours believe with full evidence that in matters concerning Gods Children God is 100% aware and he is laughing that devil to total destruction. Join in Gods excitement as you eagerly await victory.

Indeed blessed are all those who take refuge in the Lord!

When God laughs, we should be bold and ask of him, for he says in verse 8 of Psalm 2 ” Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. 9 You will break them with a rod of iron[b]; you will dash them to pieces like pottery.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always know you have my back and would never leave me alone. May I rest in you in every challenging situation of my life, for I am certainly sure you are involved and victory belongs to you. Amen
