Text: Matthew 6: 13. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Temptations are common among men because of our world and its ruler.
God knows we are prone to temptation and that was why He taught us to daily pray against temptation when we pray.
We must understand that we’re in a battle not with humans, but with spiritual forces that are unseen. Ephesians 6:12.
Little wonder why many fall easily into diverse temptations.
We can clearly see from our Bible text that men are led into temptation, meaning that no man jumps into it, it starts with a distraction, to lust, to the main act.
The devil is the tempter, and he gently lures our flesh into sin with various tempting tools.

As believers, we must be aware of the enemies tricks and games.
When you sense a danger or sense the enemy trying to lure you into a particular trap, don’t try to figure out what it looks like, you will get trapped.
The Bible tells us to run from anything that stimulates sin. 2 Timothy 2:22-24.
We must crucify our flesh daily.
No man is above temptation, and not everyone comes out of a temptation alive or the same.
Don’t think you are strong or better than others who have fallen into diverse temptation.
Crucifying the flesh daily means engaging in spiritual activities so much more in order to subdue the flesh.
It’s of no doubt as revealed by God’s word that the flesh and the spirit wrestle in order for one to have control over your life. Galatians 5:17.
Therefore a full-time engagement in spiritual activities, conversations, spiritual friends, and circle will keep the tempter away from you.

Temptation puts a believer in a state of rising and falling in his faith.
Don’t feel so bad and remain in guilt and regret when you fall into temptation as a serious believer.
It’s a sign that you’re at war. And also a call for you to get more serious and focused on the battle.
We’re defeated when we accept defeat.
Prayer is a great Spiritual asset to fighting temptations.
You must engage the prayer armor constantly.
Another great tool is the word of God.
When Satan tried to tempt Jesus Christ, with the word, the Lord engaged the devil through the same word and overcame.
There’s power in God’s word when it finds it’s true place in our life.
Another great way of gaining victory to temptation is by exposing it to light.
We must understand that sin is a dark habit, orchestrated by the master of darkness himself. So when we expose that sin to light, when we share with believers for counsel or prayers, it loses its grip on us. Ephesians 5:13.

Don’t live in self pity and keep wallowing in that sin.
You must stand today, take up your spiritual armor and fight.
As long as we’re Jesus’ ambassadors on earth, we must know that we’re already in for a lifetime battle with the devil and his cohorts.
Fight soldier!
Resist the devil over your life and he shall flee!
It’s no more time to entangle yourself with worldly activities! 2 Timothy 2:4.
It’s not the time to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. 2 Corinthians 6:14.
It is war!
War against powers of darkness!
And I see you rejoicing for the victory already in Jesus name.
