Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Jeremiah 17:5 says “This is what the LORD says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the LORD.”

It can be really hard trusting God sometimes. However, He expects us to always trust Him in all things. Even in issues we feel He is taking to long to respond, He expects us to trust Him. God must have a good reason for telling us to trust Him.

Remember we believed the devils lie in time past (in the Garden) and fell into big trouble with God. Could this be why God is telling you to trust Him even in that terrible situation? No matter what the reason may be, one thing you should be sure of is Gods plans for you is always of Good. Many times the devil wants us to believe God does not know or He does not understand what we are going through. That is just another big lie by the devil! God understands your situation better than you. He knows how exactly to respond and the right time.

Maybe you do not believe in this “right time” story, remember when Jesus’ mother told him about the need for wine in the marriage feast, He told her his time had not come. What about Lazarus? Mary and Matha called upon Him to come to heal their dying brother, Jesus tarried, still waiting for the right time. Really we cannot tell why Jesus sometimes waits for so long to solve our problems, but one thing I know is, He is always working on solutions to our problems!

A married woman asking God for a Child, what can be the reason for the delay in her receiving a child? We may not be able to say… But God sees ahead better than we do, He knows what the future holds. Could it be He is preserving the family from something they may not be able to see at the moment? Again one thing I know is as long as I keep on praying and trusting God, If the answer delays, I will keep praying knowing He is working the best out for me.

As sons and daughters of God, we have rights to receive whatsoever we ask of in the name of Jesus. We sometimes do not receive either because we are praying outside the will of God or the timing has not yet come.

Israel was delayed entering the promise land because God did not want them to face some challenges that could make them go back to Egypt

Could it also be lack of faith depriving us of receiving from God? The bible says when you pray, believe you have received it. Believing you have received is not deceiving or fooling yourself, it is just trusting God! Also, watch out for the peace God gives in such situations. If you are trusting God for something that is taking too long, search for the peace God gives. Is this peace there? If this peace is not there, then pray God reveals to you what you need to do about the situation and give you peace until He releases it.

The peace Jesus gives is above all situations, desire His peace in times of trouble

It is better to wait for God than to listen to the counsel of evil men. Be rest assured as you trust Him, He will never leave you without solving that problem. Only wait on Him, His time will come!

Daddy, you renew the strength of those who wait on you, please renew my strength. Grant me peace even as I wait to receive from you. Arise and fight for me in areas I need help, deliver me from all enemies stronger than me for in you Oh Lord I trust. Amen.
