For this was how the promise was stated: “At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son.”
At the appointed time the Lord returned as promised and Sarah had a son. Even though the Lord stated Sarah would have a son at the appointed time, this did not stop her from doubting the promise of the Lord. She even went to the extent of attempting to help God bring to past the promise as she advised her husband to go into her maid not knowing God was waiting for the appointed time to bring to past his promise of a child.
Whatsoever God has promised you, an appointed time has been fixed. Habakkuk 2:3 says “For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay”. Wait for the Lord dearly beloved, though it may tarry, God will bring it to past.
Sometimes we worry because we are in doubts if God has really spoken about that situation. If this is your case, go to God in prayers and earnestly seek his will concerning that case. Be sensitive and listen as he speaks to you in diverse ways. Once you hear from God, write it down and be patient. His promise will definitely come to past at the appointed time.
Do not walk away from the peace that God gives thinking he has forgotten his promise, for God never forgets his promise: only wait for the appointed time
Lord Jesus waiting is usually a difficult thing for me to do. But i know you sometime require me to wait because you know the best time for me. Please give me grace to always trust you as i wait for the fulfillment of your promise. Amen
