The Lord is Our Strength and Shield

DevotionsThe Lord is Our Strength and Shield

Genesis 28:15; Psalm 28:7; 56:3,4; Matthew 6:34

🎚️One of the problems we have as humans is that we think everything is planned out by us and done in our own strength. However, it is God who plans out each day and has it ready for us. He also provides the strength we need each step of the way.

🎚️Instead of assessing our energy and wondering about what the future would bring, let us concentrate on staying in touch with God. His power flows freely into us through our open communication and communing with Him. Worrying is energy-wasting.

🎚️Whenever you start to feel afraid, remember God is your shield and protector. Unlike inanimate armor, (the gods of the unbelievers), God is always alert and active. His presence watches over us continually, protecting us from both known and unknown dangers.

🎚️I know, many people have doubted the protective power of God over His people, especially when calamities strike, the genocidal onslaught against Christians has made many doubt the sincerity of the concern of God. The destructions, killings, and maiming targeted at Christians seem to overshadow God’s protective presence in our society.

🎚️This notwithstanding, we are commanded by Him to entrust ourselves to His watchcare, which is the best security we can have. God has plans for us. He says “I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go.”

👉🏽Let us trust Him, depend on Him, listen to the tiny but loud voice of the Holy Spirit and obey Him. God honors His own words. Let us hold Him by His words.
