Temptations versus Opportunities: The fight for your sight

The great I AM

Exodus 3:14

God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.'”

The name “I AM” shows clear power over all situations. God understood a time will come when people would seek to see Him in diverse situations of their lives. The name I AM shows the all-sufficiency of our God. Despite the uncertain situation you might be going through God is sufficient for you.

The experience Israel had as they journeyed to the promised land indeed proved God is I AM. They faced impossible situations but those situations listened to the I AM for He is sufficient and knows it all!

Today the earth is facing a strange situation… we are on a road no one had ever gone. Most “Preachers”, “prophets” and other religious leaders are prophesying an end to this troubling situation, many see this as an opportunity to make their congregation know they have the secret key to God’s mind. Praise God!

However, child of God please note we see in parts, no man has ultimate knowledge of God and all His activities. But one thing we are sure of is He is the I Am and is able to see us through all situations.

I had to talk about messages we receive from men of God in other to reveal the need to fix our eyes on Jesus alone as fixing your eyes on prophecies from men can discourage you especially if the manifestation of their words delay or do not come at all.

God surely speaks to all His children (John 10:27-28). Therefore instead of longing to hear what your spiritual leader has to say about a situation, seek to learn what God is telling you and only confirm it from the mouth of your Spiritual leader.

See God as the I AM today for He is totally in control and is working out something great in this situation.

Prayer:

Lord, I may not understand in full what you are doing, but one thing we do is to trust you for you said: “I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. I relly on you Lord. Be it on to me according to your will my Father. Amen
