Text: 1 John 3: 16. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
The beauty of life is more on others and less on self.
Right from the beginning of life, God’s desire has always been centered on humanity, how to redeem man, prosper and save man.
And as a proof of His love, He sent Jesus His son as the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 2:2.
Beloved, the essence of life is love.
When love speaks, humanity will live their God ordained life in peace.
Love is more than a word.
Love is a spirit, it was love that took Christ to the cross.
When love comes in, she opens the door of your heart to the sick, poor and needy.
Love will open your mind to saying the truth at all times.
The insatiable thirst for wealth in our society today is as a result of the absence of love.
True love never discriminat, it has no favorites, it welcomes all irrespective of race, religion, culture or nationality.
The Bible shows us two category of men in our society.
One that gives even from the little he has and another that withholds, but at the end, the giver prospered while the other became poor.
Proverbs 11: 24. There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
25. The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
26. He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.
Beloved giving is an act of love.
If we claim to love God but find it difficult to commit our time and resources to His word and work, then we don’t love Him.
Today, God is calling us back to the path of charity.
The path where self has to die.
Let love be your highest goal. 1 Corinthians 14:1.
