The danger of pluralism

Many people feel more comfortable to stay neutral on critical issues. Even on the issue of salvation. Our text today is one of the most contested truth by other religions. Jesus did not just say that He knows the truth, He proclaims Himself as the Way, the Truth, and the life.

John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Pluralism is the understanding that all views are equally valid. This entertains the idea that everyone’s truth is true and no one is really wrong in their ideologies. While Pluralism in foods, culture, languages, fashion is something truly beautiful, Pluralism in logic and ideology is something truly dangerous.

Many people feel more comfortable to stay neutral on critical issues. Even on the issue of salvation. Our text today is one of the most contested truth by other religions. Jesus did not just say that He knows the truth, He proclaims Himself as the Way, the Truth, and the life.

As Christians, we must be open and welcoming to all people. However, we must seek God’s wisdom to maneuver through life and relationships. We must never ever be apologetic about the fact that Jesus Christ is the Truth. The only Truth that brings true salvation to this lost world.
