Worldly Wisdom versus God’s Wisdom

Stop dating Delilah

Judges 16:20

20 Then she called, “Samson, the Philistines are upon you!” He awoke from his sleep and thought, “I’ll go out as before and shake myself free.” But he did not know that the Lord had left him.

The bible tells us how Samson a great man fell in love with a woman named Delilah. Delilah’s job in the life of Samson was to destroy him. Samson gazed upon Delilah and fell in love with her beauty, despite all the attempts she made to destroy him, he was too week to free himself from her bondage. The bible records that Delilah asked Samson several times about the secret of his strength and each time she got an answer from him, she tried to carry it out. Delilah’s are meant to destroy you, they will always hang around trying different ways to pull you down.

Until you stop dating Delilah you can never overcome that addiction… it will always keep pulling you down!

The Delilah in your life can be those friends you know that are not good for your spiritual life, Delilah can be that special friend of yours that keep pulling you into drinking or the pictures on your phone that lead you to masturbation. Dear friend, you must cast out all Delilah’s in other to be free from addictions.

I pray may the Almighty give you the grace and courage to set yourself free from Delilah. Amen!
