Spiritual Poverty

Spiritual poverty: Personal Outreach Ministry

Spiritual Poverty

1 Peter 2:2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.

We are in a period where many are proud of their life achievements, their wealth, their own wisdom, as well as their level of spiritual poverty. A time where belief in God is considered an unwelcome idea. Today, the world prefers to promote people/ideologies that make everyone feel comfortable.

Many Christians have become used to a sinful lifestyle and are only welcoming of those ‘messages of grace’ that promote, rather than demote the hold of sin over their lives.

Today, I encourage you to hold on to the message of the cross and the significance it holds over your life and the world.

In order to grow and mature in your faith, you must be willing to embrace everything the word of God offers. Even those aspects that make you discomfited. You must come to realize that you hold the authority through Christ to once and for all do away with that lifestyle of sin. You hold the power within you to overcome all the trials and tribulations of this world.
