“Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth,”
Psalms 105:5 NKJV
Oftentimes we get so focused on making life work out today and frantic about accomplishing our goals for tomorrow. In all this, we forget to look back at all that God has already done in our lives through time. We become like the Isrealites who quickly forgot that God had parted the red seas for them, had swallowed up their enemies in said sea, guided them with fire by night and clouds by day, and produced quail and manna in the wilderness.
In scripture, the children of God are often asked to remember God’s faithfulness. It is clear that in constantly remembering all that God has done for you since you were born, the seas he has parted, the provisions he has made in your wilderness, you will gain confidence in God’s Providence and enjoy today and tomorrow more. Today, instead of asking, why not spend the day recalling all that God has already done in your life.
