John 14:15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments
Love has been corrupted by the devil. Love is now defined in terms of emotional feelings such as: happiness, peace, fun, ecstasy and so on. Love may consist of all these feelings. However, the most fundamental element of true love is self denial. Greater love has no man than this, that a man lays down his life for his friends (John 15:13). A proof of love is a willing heart to serve the person you love, a willing heart to exchange your desires, happiness, wants, needs, satisfaction, all, for the sake of that person.
There is no love without a transformation of the heart. The heart must choose to love someone before submission comes. For submission to come, there must be self denial. Jesus knowing the Joy set before him endured death on the cross (Hebrews 12:2). To deny ourselves and submit to the will of God, we must know and understand the glory that awaits us. A revelation of the glory set before us will encourage us to trust in the lord as much as laying down our lives for him.
We must die to ourselves in other to submit to the will of God. Once we Submit to the will of God obeying his commands become our character.
Father give me a fresh revelation of your word. A revelation that will reveal the Glory set before me. Amen
