Text: Romans 8: 35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
The depth of God’s love is unsearchable.
His love is beyond human comprehension.
It’s just so difficult to understand how God chose to love us even while we were sinners and He died for us.
It is beyond comprehension how God would forgive our evil acts and make us brand new.
The love of God is for the murderers, the prostitutes, the terrorists, witches, and every man.
Irrespective of what you might have been through, the moment you embrace that love, He turns you to a brand new, forgives you immediately. (Read Isaiah 43:25, 2 Corinthians 5:17).
What a mighty and merciful God we serve.
Now take a self-evaluation on how you reciprocate to such a great love.
Is it really worth it dishonoring God by defiling His temple (your body) in sexual activities after all this love?
Is it really worth it turning your back on Christ because of an ordinary distress, or persecution?
Is it really worth it drifting away from God by involving in dirty and ungodly business and activities?
Sometimes, we’re the reason for most challenge and afflictions we suffer.
You earnestly pray to God for a job, every day you don’t miss church services, and when God answers the prayer and provides a job for you, it now becomes difficult for you to continue your faithful fellowship.
When other brethren would get in touch to know why you’ve been unavailable, you use the same job as an excuse for backsliding from your spiritual activities. Does it really worth it?
God I need a child, and when He grants it, no one would see you in church again. And when asked, you tell them I have a little baby at home. Does it really worth it?
When God takes that job or that child or that thing that has taken His place in your life, you start looking for who to call a witch.
What is separating you from the love of God?
Abraham’s only son Isaac never stood between him and God, he was ready to sacrifice his most treasured possession Isaac because it doesn’t worth it.
Check yourself as I check myself Today, are there things taking the place of God in your life?
If there be, it must either be properly balanced or discarded if it’s a sinful act.
Remember God is not mocked, whatever a man sows, he reaps. Galatians 6:7.
Make this prayer sincerely.
Psalm 139: 23. Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24. And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
