Text: Matthew 6: 6. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
The secret place is the place of a personal relationship with God.
It is expedient that we daily create a place of meeting with the Lord.
Life in the secret place with God is the place where we are changed gradually into the nature of God.
A man who spends time in the secret with God, will never be put to shame in public.
What you don’t have with God in the secret place cannot manifest in the public.
When a man spends time with God in praises, worship and prayers in the secret, God makes His voice productive in the public.
We must crave for a personal relationship with God.
A relationship between you and God alone.
A time of a sincere fellowship.
A time where we dialogue with God.
A time where we ask God questions and He responds.
The place of secret with God, is the secret of a successful and impactful spiritual life.
When we create time for God, He makes Himself available for us at any point or time of our life.
Can you imagine having a friend without knowing his ability, his home, what he likes and hates, you know nothing about him apart from his name?
Yet most believers live with little knowledge of God.
Calling on God when you’re in trouble alone, is not a genuine relationship.
A man that calls on God only when he encounters trouble, is in a big trouble.
God seeks an intimate partnership, with us.
He wants to share His burden with You.
He wants to share secrets with you.
When you dwell with the Lord in the secret, you can gain His trust.
Now examine yourself.
How often do you meet with God daily?
How do you start up and end your day?
Remember starting with God everyday as your first activity, gives the Lord access to pilot the rest of your daily activity.
Don’t stay away from my loving Jesus.
He wants to partner with you today.
Open up your heart to Him today.
Dwell in the secret with Him.
Carefully take away every activity that distracts your time with God and you’ll see His Glory.
I pray for you reader, may the passion, Grace and strength needed for a successful walk with God, be released unto you in Jesus name.
