Text: James 1: 13. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14. But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

A bait is a portion of food placed on a hook or in a net, trap, or fishing area to entice fish or other animals as prey.
Many lives and destinies are being destroyed as a result of the failure to live above the devil’s bait.

The bait of the devil could be in any form.
Our Bible text tells us that no man should think he is tempted of God when tempted for every man is drawn away into temptation by the lust of his own flesh.
Devil baits men with activities like Fornicatin, murder, envy, stealing and more, with the one intention of stealing, killing, and destroying.

Today, God wants you to be careful and know that these things and temptation we face are baits of the devil.
Amos 3: 5 says; Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?
The enemy has access to only people that are caught in his bait.
That appetite into that easy sinful act is a devil’s bait of drawing your soul into captivity.
We must let go of every Association, conversation, that stimulates the desire for worldly pleasures.
It was the idleness of King David that pushed him into the sin of adultery.
The Bible says when kings were at war, David was at home and the devil set up bait on the rooftop of another man’s house.
2 Samuel 11: 1. And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem. 2. And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king’s house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon.

The devil finds it easy to play with an idle mind.
Do not be drawn away by the desires of your own flesh.
May God help You, to recognize the tricks and devices of the devil and give you the Grace to overcome and remain on top in Jesus’ name.
