Gods presence

Gods presence

Luke 15:8 – 10

“Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins[a] and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ 10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Gods love for man is more than our imagination. His love is likened in the above passage to a woman desperately in search of a coin. Whenever you stray away from Gods presence, He desperately searches for you because He loves you. Our father recognizes we are weak on our own and He tries as much as possible to bring us into His presence.

In Gods presence, there is peace, growth, and salvation. Once you stray away from Gods presence you become a prey for the devil. Judas strayed away from the presence of God and his end was bad. Psalm 91:1 says “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Dear reader, the world is not a place for you to stay a minute away from Gods presence.

The devil is swift and will not let you last long away from Gods presence.

Staying in Gods presence is abiding in Christ; walking according to the Spirit and not the flesh. You must cultivate a firm relationship with Christ. A relationship not based on things you can benefit from Him but based on His love for you.

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit [a]of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. (John 15:4)

To Abide in Jesus, you must be passionate about Him. Your passion shows in the time you spend with Him, your attitude towards His word and how disciplined you are in obeying Him.

Build your passion by learning more about Jesus, for the more you build your passion the stronger you fight to abide.

Prayer:

May the Almighty God increase your desire for His presence. Father, I pray that you help us abide in you always. Amen
