In harmattan season, thick fog affects our vision. Difficulties and trials bring about the same effect in our minds. They create strong emotions that cloud our ability to think. We no longer think straight. Some even try to create unbiblical ways to go around the difficulties and trials.
👉But, God has graciously provided help for us to find our way through difficulties and trials. The only requirement on our part here, is to hear His voice and obey Him as He directs. How do we hear His voice? By reading and reflecting on His Word.
♥️ The Lord has committed Himself to instruct us. Listen to Him.
👉When we wait on Him, He will give us insight into our situation, since He sees all things, He knows what steps we are to take. We may be surprised at the instructions, though, since His ways are not like our human ones (Isa. 55:8-9). For instance, when people hurt us badly, God´s Spirit will remind us that vengeance is the Lord´s; our part is to live at peace with them (Rom. 12:17-19).
♥️ God has promised to teach us how to apply the truth He has given us to Our difficulties.
👉As we reflect on the Word of God, His Spirit will reveal the relevance of Scripture to our problems. God’s Word tells us what to do in particular situations. All we need to do is to ask the Holy Spirit to guide us into God’s will as we read and reflect on the Scripture. Remember, obedience is the key.
♥️ The Lord provides guidance as He keeps watch over us.
👉When a child plays with other children, a parent may use a series of looks to quietly guide his child´s behaviour, encourage, instruct, or warn. In a similar way, the Holy Spirit gives us spiritual promptings to guide our actions and decisions in the midst of our difficulties..
♥️ He promises never to leave us alone in the difficulty or trial.
👉We derail in our behavior when we think that God has abandoned us in the midst of our difficult situations. When we pass through trials, the first thing the devil does is whisper to our minds, “do you think God loves you? See how you are suffering. Why not curse Him and be free?” The freedom the devil promised is further entanglement. So, beware!
👉But, do not listen to him, he has been a deceiver from the beginning. He does not love humanity. God loves you and has a great purpose for you in that difficulty. Only listen to Him and follow His instructions, no matter how illogical they might look.
💡Do not go ahead of God. Follow Him and you will end up being blessed abundantly. The peace of mind He gives surpasses all the wealths put together in this fleeting world.
Shalom and Maranatha!
