Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.NIV

Living in a country that is not yours teaches how to appreciate and value your citizenship. As a citizen, you have the advantages and benefits foreigners don’t have even though they may have a good visa. I watched a piece of news where refugees struggle to break through the borders of Italy as the believed they would achieve a better life there. However, their entry was restricted as they had no legal rights to enter the country.  Anywho successfully crosses the borders illegally can never be treated as citizens as they have no legal rights there.

The Bible tells us the right to enter the Kingdom of God is only through JESUS Christ. Remember we all were once separated from God and had no access to his kingdom. Entry to God’s presence was just for a selected few until Jesus came allowing entry for all who believe in Him.

Now there is good news for all to be citizens of heaven (Giving you legal rights to access God’s kingdom). John 3:16 Says “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Do you want the be a citizen of heaven? Do you want to enjoy the rights of heavenly citizenship? Say this prayer to make Jesus your Lord.

Lord Jesus, I thank you for making a way for my salvation. I believe you are the son of God sent to deliver me. I accept you today as my Lord and Savior. Please come into my life and be the Lord of my life. Amen
