Luke 15:20
So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

I think for most people who grew up in a Christian home, the story of the prodigal son is one lesson we were taught. His lavish lifestyle and his wastefulness.

However, I will like us to consider the story from the father’s perspective today. When he saw his son from afar he ran to meet him. He didn’t wait for the son to come in fully and tender an apology before he accepted him.

I believe God used this story to teach another dimension to forgiveness. There are times you have to embrace those who wronged you even before they (fully) apologize. Who is that person that has squandered some of your treasures, take the first step today, and forgive them.

God bless you
