Text: Mark 4: 38. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
39. And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? 41. And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
Can the clay say to his maker, why did you make me this way or that way? Isaiah 45:9
Our major problem of accessing divinity is the bankruptcy of revelation and knowledge.
Beloved when we spend time in the study of God’s word, greater than what we have seen, shall we do.
Wind from our anchor text and today’s study, are challenges of life that comes to obstruct our boat(life) from sailing.
Understand that despite the disciples were with the Lord, yet the tempest arose.
Being a Christian is not an escape for trouble.
Going to church will not stop trouble, rather it’ll teach you on how to handle trouble.
Beloved until we wake up and rebuke the wind, it’ll keep roaring.
That seasonal affliction will remain there.
That aged long barrenness will not flee.
Until we bind, there’s no binding in Heaven.
Until we loose, there’s no losing in Heaven.
Is the creator of the earth not the same God that saved us from darkness? 1 peter 2:9.
Is He not the same word from the beginning? John 1:1
Is He not the same word that was made flesh and now living in us? John 1:14.
Are we no more joint heirs with Him? Romans 8:17.
If your answer is yes, don’t you think you have tolerated that wind of failure long enough?
The wind of sickness, seasonal affliction, bareness, are they not overstaying their welcome already?
When we are void of knowledge and our real identity, we cry and grumble over issues that we are suppose to rebuke and change the cause of it.
Beloved, it is time to stand up and take full responsibility of your life and destiny.
We can’t show the same attitude as the disciples who were afraid.
Remember that Jesus rebuked them for allowing the storm eat them for so long.
Today, the Lord is saying; take responsibility of your life.
Rebuke that wind that has dwell so long in your life and family.
Use the name above all other names.
The antivirus to all viruses.
The name of Jesus.
Yes! The wind obeys His name.
The clay has no right over the maker, the maker does.
I join faith with you, to rebuke every wind and stormy like situation in your life and family, in Jesus’ name.
