“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:”
Praise has to do with thanking for God for Who He is and what He has done.
When we were kids, we learned how to be grateful for everything we receive. We were taught how to say thank you as this is a polite way of expressing our gratitude to people. In an African society, it is believed that when you train a child like that, the child will always learn to be thankful even in the smallest love shown to him or her.
However, thankfulness to God is not as straightforward as the one given to men. This is because, to be thankful or to praise God, you must first acknowledge His existence, and understand that everything you receive come from Him. It is important to praise God for all things “even the little ones” because the more you praise him the more you enlarge your room for bigger miracles. This is true because, praising God for everything shows growth in your faith and fulfills the scripture in 2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight).
Praising God even in the troubling situations we require the revelation of God which comes only from submitting yourself to God by accepting JESUS Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
The Bible says” for as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;”
The fact is we can never Thank God enough for his goodness and mercy
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people
