Emotional clutter

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” Philippians‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

It is incredible how we sometimes expend vast amounts of energy not on the list given above but on the exact opposite. We practice the personalized version of the verse where we dwell on vengeance, gossip, pretense, denigration, and sin.

We often want peace of mind, mental, and spiritual wellness. The main way to achieving this is by actively getting rid of the emotional clutter. These include unforgiveness, anger, plotting revenge, hatred, pride, ego, self-centeredness, ingratitude, among others. When your mind isn’t cluttered with these heavy thoughts, you can begin seeing life through the lens of Philippians 4:8. Go ahead and invest energy and time into removing emotional clutter. Ask God to help you. Only God and your will to be free can free you totally. God bless you.
