Do you know the High Priest?

Do you know the High Priest?

Hebrews 5:1-10

For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:

Only a high priest can represent you before God. If any man must please God such man must have a high priest. Without a high priest, there is no forgiveness of sin.

Offering gifts on behalf of the people and, offering sacrifices for sins are two key things a high priest does for His people. A general misconception in the world religion is the idea that a man can offer sacrifices for his sins without a high priest. Man believes his good works or ability to stay away from sin can be an acceptable sacrifice for sin. Sorry to disappoint you, God is a Holy God, our words or imaginations can never express His holiness neither can anything we offer satisfy His holy requirements (Isaiah 64:6). For this reason, you need a high priest!

Do you have a high priest? someone who will represent you before God at all times? If your answer is no, allow me to introduce you to the only high priest ordained by God to save humanity.

John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Jesus is the son of God given up as a sacrifice for our sins. Hebrews 5:9-10 says “He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him and was designated by God to be a high priest in the order of Melchizedek”.

Hallelujah! Jesus is the high priest of all who believe in Him. One benefit of having Jesus as your high priest is you are free from condemnation because Jesus paid the price for all your sins. John 10:10 Jesus said, “I have come that they might have life, and might have it abundantly”. Therefore, you do not need to struggle to live right, you only need to make Him your high priest and allow His righteousness to replace your sins.

Recognizing Jesus as your high priest entails living for Him. 2 Corinthians 5:15 says “And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.”

If you have already made Jesus your high priest and still struggle with living for Him, never give up, get into an intimate relationship with Him by spending time in prayer and reading His word.

The more we spend time with our partner, the more we love them

If you are yet to make Jesus your High priest, say this prayer aloud surrendering to Him. This is important because, there is no other way to God, no other way to please God but through Jesus.

Repeat these prayers aloud “Lord Jesus, I recognize what you have done, I recognize you were sent by God to save me from the power of death and sin. Jesus, today, I surrender my life to you, be my High priest. I identify with your death and resurrection, take me as one of your own today. Amen“.

If you said this prayer, please email us on info@personaloutreachministry.com we will love to schedule an appointment with you where we can share more of who Jesus is and why it is only through Jesus to you.

God bless you
