‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭13:20‬ ‭KJV

“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”

One of the most popular quotes I heard while growing up is “show me your friends and I will tell you who you really are”. Some even say your circle of friends will determine your direction and future in life.

In our text today, Solomon noted that the wise will be full of wisdom. While this is quite fascinating, it is noteworthy that the companion of fools will not only be foolish but also be destroyed.

As much as it is very important to walk with the wise, I can say that it is better to walk alone than having fools as companions. The choice of friends, companions, and close circle is one that we will always have to make and I encourage you to walk with the wise today.

Note: a wise man is someone who fears the Lord.
