Boast in the Lord

DevotionsBoast in the Lord

2 Corinthians 10:17

Whoever boasts, should boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one who recommends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord recommends.

There is no need for a believer to boast in his strength. The life of every man belongs to God and whatsoever level of success a man should attain must be permitted by God. What are you today that the Lord has not permitted? For all you have, for what you are, and for the height you will attain tomorrow acknowledge God for He is the only one who recommends.

In Luke 12:16-21, Jesus speaks of a certain rich man who thought the labor of his hands had gotten him so much wealth. This man never acknowledged God, for that reason he was destroyed.

Are you succeeding today or you are striving to succeed? God is the only one who recommends. He opposes the proud and gives Grace to the humble (James 4:6-7). Let God take the glory in your life by boasting in Him. As you boast in the Lord doors open, His power is revealed and He takes delight in prospering you.

Boast in the Lord alone for He is the only source of your strength

Prayer: Help me Lord to recognize my role as a steward. May I know that all I have has been given to me by you. Receive all the praise for all the situations in my life,  your name oh Lord is at stake in my life may all men see your glory in my life. Amen
