Text: 2 Corinthians 3: 3. Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
An ambassador is not only a representative but also a full symbol of who has sent him.
For example, when you see an ambassador of a foreign nation in another nation, it means the foreign nation is in that nation in full.
Some signs like the flags, anthems, cultures, languages, and many other ethics are used as a symbol that clearly states that the said ambassador is from a different nation.
I’ve heard many people proclaiming to be ambassadors of Christ.
Today’s devotional will help us understand what it truly means to be an ambassador of Christ.
A true ambassador of Christ is one that eschews evil.
You cannot be an ambassador of Christ by mere word and proclamations, ambassadors are known when seen.
You don’t live in mediocrity and call yourself an ambassador of Christ.
First, you must understand that we’re representing the supreme God on earth.
You must understand the conduct and principles of who you are representing.
Understand His laws and commands for an effective representation.
Understand the language of who you are representing.
You must understand that we are the epistle that people read as Christ’s ambassador.
You must have the mind of Christ as the Bible tells us. Philippians 2:5.
The mind of love, compassion, humility, forgiveness, peace that we see in Christ.
A true ambassador of Christ is known and easily recognized by the way he lives.
The Bible tells us how the people easily recognized that Peter and John had been with Jesus Christ as they saw their boldness. Acts 4:13.
As an ambassador of Christ, you must carry out His mandate of witnessing Him through Evangelism, giving, and even your lifestyle as well.
God wants to make you His ambassador, He wants to trust and entrust unto you heavenly responsibilities.
Have you misrepresented God in time past?
Today, It pleases God that you return unto Him in all humility of heart and repentance unto salvation.
Take a self-examination on yourself, make the wrong ways right and stand as a true ambassador of Christ.
Receive Grace and strength for effective service from today in Jesus’ name.
