Colossians 2:18 Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind.
In recent times, things like yoga, meditation, and spiritual sounding talks have become the norm. In some cases some wish to revive their inner gods, while others consider themselves already gods. In other cases, many are driven to desperation by the emptiness they feel, and the void like depths of their darkness. Thus, they resort to finding ‘inner peace’, and ‘becoming one with the cosmos’ among many other ridiculous endeavors at attaining spiritual heights.
The fact remains that the world will always be willing to choose any other approach they can find apart from God Himself in order to maintain their sin lifestyle. The irony then is that while no one wants to give up sin, or accept the supremacy of God over their lives, everyone will like to make heaven.
In these strange times, as a Christian, your task is to remain unshaken, unconfused, accustomed to the Word, dependent on God’s guidance, and be a light that actually points the world to the giver of true peace and joy. Jesus.
