The wonders of praise and thanksgiving

A grateful heart

DevotionsA grateful heart

Text: Luke 17: 15. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16. And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

The desire for more and insatiable quest of men has made them so ungrateful to God for a favor or an answered prayer.
A grateful heart will never suffer lack.
Most times we see less of God’s handiwork in our lives.
The fact that God is yet to grant that big request is not the reason to remain ungrateful to Him.
An ungrateful heart, equals wickedness and witchcraft.

We must also be grateful to our fellow-men.
When we receive a favor from God, He expects us to thank Him with all our heart.
Complaining of things that are yet to Come, will not move God. But your words of appreciation, dance of praises, admonition can move Him to do the unexpected in your life.

Thank God for the air you breathe.
Thank Him for the gift of a new day.
Thank Him for the strength and good health.
Give Him praise on those things you have looked down on, and He’ll gladly meet your expectation.
If you would practically list down the blessings of God in your life, you’ll clearly see that God is indeed good to you.
Gratefulness equals wholeness and opens the door to your miracle.

Now take out time and give God praises over His works in your life.
Worship Him with a Psalm of Praise and Thanks giving.
(Please read Psalm 136).

Psalm 150: 1. Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
2. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
3. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
4. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
5. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
6. Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

Shalom.
