A faithful steward

DevotionsA faithful steward

Text: 1 Corinthians 4: 2. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful

A faithful steward is one whose master would find doing the same work committed to him wholeheartedly and faithfully even without supervision.
Are you only committed to service when your employer is there?

Are you faithful enough to display such a great quality of service even behind your leader?

Has God committed a responsibility to your hands in His church?

Has God blessed you with a new and lucrative job?

If yes, He expects you to be faithful in your services as a church worker or as an employee.

Don’t be like many who would say, now my Pastor, my employer, or my supervisor is not at watch, I’ll do the things I desire to do, I will have a taste of these things I was asked not to, I will take more than the required break until his arrival. Beloved, these attitudes are not showing a good testimony of who we are as Christians, it’s a sign of unfaithfulness and hypocrisy.

The Bible says, blessed is the one whose master would find faithful in his service.
Luke 12: 42. And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? 43. Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 44. Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.

Your faithfulness will be rewarded by God.
Your faithfulness will bring about promotion.
It’ll seat you among kings and important personalities.
But unfaithfulness and unfaithful attitude will stagnate your life.

Today, on a self examination, repent from any way you’ve been unfaithful in you life, it could be your marriage, your relationship, job, church, or anywhere, decide to be faithful and carry out your given task as duty unto the Lord and not man.
