Text: Ephesians 5: 14. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

Many believers are still asleep even in the middle of a fierce battle.
Many who were once awake have fallen into a deep slumber.
Once we were sinners, but Christ came, gave us life and delivered us out of the bondage of sin.
A man that is free is free and must live by the power of his freedom which is the word of God lest he fall.

Are you falling to sin on a regular basis even?
God is saying wake up and prayerfully fight that enemy responsible for your slumber.
Only a believer who stays awake has the power to resist the devil.
When we sleep and slumber in the realm of the spirit, Satan will mess with our lives, luring us into dirty acts such as sexual immorality, masturbation, lesbianism, lies, and all sorts of sin and ungoldiness.
Satan and his demons abode in a body that is asleep and cold.
Many believers suffer so many satanic oppressions and dirty addictions because they are asleep.

A man that sleeps will not see the light of God.
From our anchor text, we clearly see that when we wake up from our sleep, Jesus illuminates our life.
To be awake means to be spiritually alive, sensitive and equipped with the word of God.
When Jesus shines His light, darkness will be exposed, every weakness and sin will be exposed, the Holy Spirit will convict you and draw you to repentance.

Today, wake up and enjoy the light of God and all the spiritual benefit of your salvation.

Shalom.
