PSALMS‬ ‭33:18‬ ‭AMP‬‬
“Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon those who fear Him [and worship Him with awe-inspired reverence and obedience], On those who hope [confidently] in His compassion and lovingkindness,”
‭‭

The word fear attached to God can be easily misunderstood or read out of context. In today’s text the fear of God is something that works hand in hand with worshiping God, reverencing Him and obeying Him. This fear is born out of love not out of hatred or due to God’s dictatorship.

This fear is not synonymous to the fear we have for men. We are afraid of people most times because of the harm they can cause us. God on the other hand is a loving father and friend. The fear of Him is based on the understanding of who He is and what He can do.

According to today’s text, One of the benefits of having the fear of God is that His eyes is upon those who fear Him. When the Bible’s says the eyes of God is on a man, it means the man is protected, favored, lifted, blessed and lots more. The more you fear God the more you attract His attention. God bless you.
