Text: Exodus 14:2
“Tell the Israelites to turn back and encamp near Pi Hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea. They are to encamp by the sea, directly opposite Baal Zephon.
We all hate to wait. We hate to wait in a line, wait for an appointment, wait for a prayer to be answered, in fact, our human nature dislikes any form of waiting. with the speed technology brings today, waiting has become more difficult for us as humans. Inasmuch as we hate to wait, God is always in the habit of taking us along paths that eventually leads to us waiting.
The children of Israel, fleeing from their enemies had to wait for God’s miraculous hand at the red sea. God could have led them along paths they wouldn’t have encountered any hitch, but he decided to lead them along the waiting path because God was interested in revealing himself to them. God wanted to build a relationship with trust, to show them they have a God they can rely on.
Even today, as long as God has a plan for you, he is always ready to take you along the waiting path. A path where you will discover him, build a stronger relationship through prayers, for the lost; a waiting place where you will ask questions and eventually get to know Him.
Our God is a jealous God, for love sake he can allow you wait for long until you build that character needed for the next level.
For those who have not know Jesus, God might be allowing that situation linger in other to lead you to his saving grace. Seek to know him today for he is the God of all flesh.
Prayer: Lord, help my heart not to stand in the way of your blessing upon me, help me to learn all I need to learn on time so I won’t wait too long. Amen
