Text: Isaiah 40: 3. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
A man called John was sent ahead of the Messiah to prepare the way for the Lord.
Many years before John was sent, Isaiah spoke prophetically about John, as a voice that cried in the wilderness; prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God and in fulfillment to Isaiah’s prophecy, miraculously John was conceived, see Luke 1:1-25.
John the Baptist preached about Jesus Christ the son of God even before he knew Him.
Right in the wilderness, yet his voice was noised abroad and many people repented and were baptised and saved.
Just as we see today, there were also many that never believed him and never got saved.
John’s messaged was simple, “repent from your sins and evil way, and turn to God through His son Jesus Christ”.
The urgency of John’s message was impossible to be expressed in words. He cried morning and night in the wilderness.
Jesus Christ has come to give us life in abundance and save us from death. John 10:10.
Thank God we no more have voices in the wilderness.
Thank God we don’t share a gospel we have not witnessed.
On the streets, your churches, your neighborhood, on social media platforms, are voices crying, repent from your sin and turn to God through Jesus Christ the son for the salvation of your soul.
Do not be deaf to the call of God.
Don’t postpone the day of your salvation.
There is no appointed time to be saved than now as you read this today.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Isaiah 55:7.
Let those who call on the name of the Lord abstain from evil. 1 Peter 3:11.
Heaven and Hell is real.
It is not a fairy tale.
Every man must give an account of his life before the king and sinners will be condemned. 2 Corinthians 5:10, Romans 8:1.
In Jesus’ words, He said; Matthew 5: 29. And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 30. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Say yes to Jesus today.
Decide to walk with Him in truth and in Spirit.
And let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
The sinners prayer for salvation.
I acknowledge I am a sinner for my sins are not hidden before you.
I confess all of my sins to you this day.
I believe you died on the cross and rose again to set me free.
And I confess you this day as the Lord and personal savior of my life.
May God bless you and keep you in perfect peace in Jesus’ name.
