Text: Matthew 5: 8. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
No man is defiled by what goes inside of him but by what comes out of him.
Jesus speaking about inner purity made a clear statement that many worship God with their lips while their heart remains far away from God.
The heart of men is the master processing unit of all their actions.
From the heart comes good and also all sorts of evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander.
Only the pure in heart will see God.
What does it mean to see God?
To see God in this context means that God will only reveal Himself, His goodness and blessings to those who seek and serve Him in all sincerity of heart.
God expects us to be pure in heart not just in the church, but to live a total lifestyle of purity.
Be pure in heart and sincere in your workplace, among your work colleagues and your bosses.
Do you only pretend to be sincere when under supervision?
That is not the kind of purity God expects from me and you.
God expects us to live pure and holy both inside and outside of our environment.
You don’t lift up holy hands in worship on a Sunday morning and go to swindle innocent people on a Monday morning.
You don’t lead worship on a Sunday morning and resume your normal sexual lifestyle on Monday.
You will be deceiving yourself with such an attitude of worship.
For God is a Spirit and true worshippers must worship Him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24.
Depart from iniquity if you must call on the name of the Lord the Bible says. 2 Timothy 2:19.
Only the pure in heart shall see His eternal Glory.
Beloved, do you really love God?
If you do, then decide today to obey His commandments and when you do, will He send the Holy Spirit to you. John 14:15-16.
For only by heeding to God’s word and His command will a man stay pure. Psalm 119:9.
I pray the hold of sin is broken over you in Jesus’ name.
