John 4:10-15

Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”

11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”

13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”

No possession or position attained on earth can totally satisfy. Our being is greater than what money can buy. There is a longing only Jesus can fill. A blind man who has never seen the light will not be able to explain the beauty of light. Come and test from the cup that won’t run dry. Dig deeper for an intimate relationship with Jesus today.

Jesus said “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30). This is true friend. Find rest for your soul in Jesus. He gives true satisfaction.

A female minister with Hillsong testified how she struggled with so many unnecessary issues. She was always concerned about how many likes she has on Facebook, the number of people viewing her status, how acceptable she is to people, etc… No matter how much she tried to impress the world and herself, she was never satisfied until she met Jesus; the cup that never runs dry filled her with His all.

Do you need rest that comes from the soul? Money, fame, possession, can never by such rest, only JESUS can.

Say this prayer today to give Jesus the ultimate chance that gives rest to your soul.

Lord Jesus, I agree, I have not recognized you as Lord over my entire life. I give up the wheel Lord. Come into my life, I accept you died and rose to give me salvation. You came that I might have life and have it abundantly. Forgive my sins. I receive the water you give that I may test no more.
