Mathew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Many of us carry lots of burden each day. Many are burden with the thoughts of:
what to eat?
what to wear?
How do people see me?
Am i beautiful enough? etc.
Many others are burdened with fears and uncertainties, To many, the world is just like a cage and our existence just like the existence of every other animal, so they face depression, frustrations, many struggle with suicidal thoughts because their burdens are just too much for them to bear.
Many things are always ready to become a source of burden to us as soon as we let them. Understanding the place and assignment of Jesus will lift off burdens from our shoulders. Jesus says “come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and i will give you rest”. The rest Jesus gives is totally away from what your mind can comprehend. I hear people say, “i had to drink alcohol to keep me away from my sorrows” they however still complain about same sorrows after the effect of the alcohol is gone.
Are you tired of your burdens and need a helping hand? run to Jesus today. For the peace he gives in trouble surpasses all understanding.
In Matthew 11:30 Jesus says “For my yoke is easy and my burden is light”. Dear friend, many times we feel choosing the way of the flesh is lighter than following the ways of the lord: taking that bribe to satisfy your immediate need is better than obeying Gods words. I tell you, the devil deceives us by blinding our eyes to the true consequence of what we do. He (devil) did same to Adam and Eve by covering the true consequences of them eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The devil does same to us today by making us think the best way out of our problems is another way other than following Gods will.
Avoid sharing in the burden of the devil by obeying his ways of lifting up burdens. Turn to Jesus today because him alone can truly satisfy you.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid (John 14:27)
Be encouraged today in that situation. As long as you have invited Jesus into it, he is with you in it and will work you through it. His peace will keep you as he brings you out of that unpleasant situation.
