Text: Psalm 119: 11.
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
There are lot of benefits when we dwell in the word of God.
In the beginning has been the word.
The word created the whole universe.
The word parthed the red sea and wrought great signs and wonders amongst the old prophets and hitherto, the power is still the same.
The same word became flesh and redeemed us back to God.
Jesus Christ is the risen word of God.
The word of God gives us the power to live above sin.
When we give quality time in God’s word, we are gradually renewed by the spirit of the word.
The psalmist said, how can a young man keep his way pure? By obeying God’s word. (Psalm 119:9).
The presence of God’s word in our life, gives us assurance of victory to every situation of life and sin.
But the absence of God’s word in our lives, lives us naked to the enemy.
Child of God, God’s word gives us answer to every possible question we can ask or think of.
God’s word, keeps us in good spiritual shape.
Don’t treat the word of God like a drug for an ailment alone, rather treat the word of God as a best friend that deserves your daily companionship and communication.
Child of God, Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom.(Colossians 3:16)
Remember that the wages of sin is death and to live above sin, you must hide the word of God in your heart.
When the devil tells you to sexually abuse your body, the Holy Spirit will search out the word in you that says; “My child, your body is my temple” (1 Corinthians 6:19).
Again when the devil lies to you of an infirmity, the Holy Spirit would search out the word in you that says; “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). And many more.
There is security in God’s word.
I can share numerous testimonies of encounter in God’s word.
Get connected today to God’s word, take it up, study, meditate, memorize and apply for the Spirit in the word gives life.
