Matthew 5:8

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

For you to see God, the state of your heart is very important. Keeping a pure heart entails having the heart of Jesus; seeing people the way Jesus sees them. In the world we live in today, it is very easy to nurture a grudge, it is very easy to store unhealthy images in our hearts. But Jesus speaking to the people said: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God”.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us (Matthew 6:12-14). When we do not forgive and purify our hearts from that sin done to us by others, we cannot see God. No wonder Jesus said “Therefore if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you,  leave your gift there before the altar. First, go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.“(Matthew 5: 23-24).

Seeing God does not only mean having revelations or being raptured with him, but it also means seeing him in your problems.

Dear friend, prayerfully let go of any hurt someone has caused you in the past and seek to see people the way the loving father sees them. If our father (God) can give rain to the wicked and to the righteous, we need also to endeavor to love everyone sincerely.

God bless you as you prayerfully receive the enablement to love and let go the wrongs people have done to you. Remember, by strength shall no man prevail. Submit the pains to God and be open to His healing.

Verse of Meditation (Matthew 182-4)

He called a little child to him and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

It is not enough to forgive on the outside, Jesus is more interested in the state of your Heart
