Exodus 34:13

for you shall not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God

I remember a story that changed the paths of my life. The story titled “Kaza Audu” and read to me by my mother made me surrender my life to Jesus Christ in tears. The story revealed how we were originally created to glorify God, but the devil came in and changed our service from God into worshiping him. From the story, I could picture the pain God feels looking down from heaven to see people he created for his own glory giving the devil glory instead of him.

Our text tells us that God is jealous, he is jealous of you, he is jealous whenever he sees you doing the will of the devil, he is jealous whenever he sees you doubting his strength and relying on yours, he is jealous when he sees you giving more attention to other things other than him. God is jealous because of his love for you, He does not want to lose you, He understands how precious you are.

Imagine you are in love with someone and instead of the person obeying you, the person chooses to obey your subject in contrast to what you tell her. I believe you will be so sad and full of jealousy. So and more does God feel whenever we derail from doing his will. For this reason, God sent his son Jesus Christ to give us a new life, a life willing to please God and resist the devil.

Jesus transforms us from being rivals with God to a place of Sonship.

Stop hurting God with your day to day activities, surrender your life to Jesus to lead. If you have surrendered your life to Jesus, determine to serve him no matter the circumstances.

To surrender your life to Jesus, please say this prayer:

Lord Jesus, I thank you for revealing yourself to me today, please come into my heart, bless me with the blessings of the father, I confess you as God over all gods, I accept you as my Lord and Savior today. Amen

If you prayed this prayer, please send us an email to info@personaloutreachministry we will love to pray with you

God bless you.
