“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth”
The English definition of meekness is quiet, gentle and easily imposed on or submissive. Moses, the one whom God used in bringing freedom to the children of Israel was recorded as the meekest man on the surface of the earth in his time. Jesus, our savior was also seen exhibiting total surrender in his service to people, attitude and also long-suffering.
As Christians, meekness should be a virtue in us. Our text of focus tells us there is a great reward for meekness. “Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth”
In contrast to what is believed and practiced by so many Christians and pastors today, the more of the Spirit of God you have does not take you away from being meek rather the Holy Spirit makes you more submissive, gentle, and patient.
As you seek more of the Spirit of God, an evidence of His infilling is seen in meekness and not arrogance towards people.
God bless you
