Mark 11:11-15

11 And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.

12 And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:

13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.

14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

15 And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;

From this chapter we see Jesus come into the temple a night before the day he overturned the tables of the traders. Jesus stood quietly observing all the business activities taking place in the temple. His action that evening was totally different from his action the next morning as he overturned the tables of the traders. What must have kept him quite the other day? The bible says in
John 5:20″The Father loves the Son and shows Him all He does. And to your amazement, He will show Him even greater works than these.”

It is clear that as Jesus watched the activities in the temple quietly, He was waiting to receive instructions from the father. Imagine He had started overturning and chasing out the traders before receiving from the father, I believe He might have encountered some challenges. But the fact that He always listened to the father before he acted made His work on earth a success.

Dear friend, we are Jesus’s sheep and without Him, we can do nothing. It is profiting to teach yourself daily on how to act only when we have heard the voice of Jesus. I encourage you today to always wait on Jesus on every situation of your life. If Jesus can say “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” Rev 3:20 it means He speaks to anyone (all men), how much more you, His child?

The more you obey Gods work the clearer His voice becomes.

Start trusting in Gods word today and his voice will become clearer to you.

May this new month bring so many blessings to you as you decide to hid to Gods word. Amen

God bless you
