Exodus 24: 15-18
15 When Moses went up on the mountain, the cloud covered it, 16 and the glory of the Lord settled on Mount Sinai. For six days the cloud covered the mountain, and on the seventh day the Lord called to Moses from within the cloud. 17 To the Israelites, the glory of the Lord looked like a consuming fire on top of the mountain. 18 Then Moses entered the cloud as he went on up the mountain. And he stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
Moses was an intimate friend of God to the extent of God speaking face to face with him. Despite that intimacy, when God called Moses up to the mountain, Moses had to wait six days for the Lord. Notice one outstanding detail here. Even though Moses waited for the Lord for six days, God’s presence (glory) was with Moses from the first day he obeyed God to come up the mountain.
Beloved, has God given you an instruction? does it feel like you cannot hear or see Him? Remember Moses had to wait for the Lord. Learn also to wait.
David said, “For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.” Psalm 62:5. As believers, we must learn to wait because God’s ways are never ours!
As long as you have obeyed God in that situation, whatever seems like a delay is just a stepping stone
May God bless you as you wait on Him!
