Text 1: 2 Kings 6: 12. And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.
Text 2: Jeremiah 23: 24. Can any hide in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.
We often think that we can hide our mistakes and sin from God but nothing is hidden from God.
Our first Bible text tells us on how God constantly revealed the plans of the Syrian King to Elisha as they warred against Israel.
The Bible tells us in that Bible chapter that Elisha constantly warned the King of Israel during the battle and all their enemies plan became futile. (2 Kings 6:8-11).
I remember how I would hide all my sexual and sinful act from my parents but whenever a servant of God visits home to pray for the family, these sins I thought I hid was always made open and subsequently I started running from these men each time they would visit.
Before God, we are naked just same way we were created.
Trying to hide your sin and mistakes from your maker, would keep you in the bondage of such sin.
God is inviting us through His son Jesus Christ to come before His throne of Grace and obtain mercy when we fall.
God sees everything, He knows everything and there is no limit to the searching of His wisdom and understanding.
What is hidden from men are never hidden from God.
David thought he could hide his sins from the Lord when he killed Uriah and took Bathsheba his wife but God sent His prophet Nathan to David because nothing was hidden before the Him. 2 Samuel 11,12.
We must make our ways right with God by turning to Him for mercy.
A wise man confessed that his sins were not hidden before the Lord because he needed to amend the broken bridge of his relationship with the Lord.
Having an immoral affair can be hidden from your parents, your spouse but never from God.
Your stealing evil habit can be hidden from men but never from God.
When Cain killed Abel and thought he could hide it from God, little did he know that nothing could be hidden from the Almighty God.
Don’t try to hide it from the Lord, rather take it to God and ask for His mercy and strength to live above those weaknesses. Let me show you a little bit from the scripture on the personality you keep trying to hide things from.
Isaiah 40:12-15 NLT.
Now you understand that nothing is hidden from Him.
Stop running from Him like Adam and Eve did in the garden rather run to Him and He will show you His salvation and cover your nakedness.
