Genesis 22:2

Then God said, “Take your son to the land of Moriah and kill your son there as a sacrifice for me. This must be Isaac, your only son, the one you love. Use him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains there. I will tell you which mountain.”

Imagine if Abraham had chosen to give God Ishmael instead of Isaac. Afterall Serah was having a hard time putting up with Ishmael, giving him up as a sacrifice would have been a great idea. What is it about Isaac by the way? A son is a son, one would think. However, God recognized the love Abraham had for Isaac so He demanded the one he loved so much just to test him.

Though Abraham loved Isaac, he did not contemplate giving him up to God, neither did he think of substituting him with Ishmael.

Many times we give to God what is less dear to us and keep the best parts for ourselves. How much of your life have you surrendered to God? Have you given Him Sunday and kept the rest of the week? Have you released your mouth to him but kept your body to yourself?

God needs no substitute from you, He wants the one you love most because He knows if you are able to give up the one you love most, you will give all to Him. No wonder God is able to give all things to us as He gave up Jesus the one He loved the most.

Dear reader, there is no partial salvation. It is either you are in or you are out. Many times we do not enjoy God because we have not given all to Him. To enjoy God you must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.

God is asking for all of you! Give him all of you!

Do not offer Ishmael when God is asking for Isaac

May the Almighty give you the grace to carry on each day as a living sacrifice unto Him. Amen

Joel 2:25

“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten—the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm[a]— my great army that I sent among you.

  • Declare restoration upon your life, your family and the church of God. As it is written, let the mighty hand of God restore all the devil has stolen. Amen!
