1 Samuel 10:11
10 When Saul and his servant arrived at Gibeah, a group of prophets met him. Then the Spirit of God rushed upon him, and he prophesied along with them. 11 All those who had formerly known Saul and saw him prophesying with the prophets asked one another, “What has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?” 12 Then a man who lived there replied, “And who is their father?” So the saying became a proverb: “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
To a great extent, your association determines the level you would reach in life. Your association also gives you a name that becomes an image of you. The way you see yourself, the way others see you is greatly shaped by your association. If you associate with liers (the devil and all his works), you live a life of lies, if you associate with the light (Jesus and all He gives), you receive boldness and the wisdom needed to walk through this earth.
By association, the name and story of Saul was automatically changed. He was among the prophets and news about him spread throughout all Isreal.
Another thing association can do is to rewrite a bitter story. Has your life experience been bad? is your association healthy? As spirit beings, we must make sure all our associations lead to a renewed mind of God. The more we associate rightly, the better of God’s children we become.
Freedom comes from taking the place of sonship
Mathew 6:21 says “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Where is your treasure? Have you laid up for yourself treasures on earth or treasures in heaven? If your treasures are in heaven you must desire a Godly association. Associating with Jesus is the most profiting association we can get today, Associate with Him by holding tight to His word.
Jesus is revealed through His word. You can start having a right association today by spending quality time daily studying Gods word.
Association is like a table prepared before you, on this table different stuffs would be served and as long as you remain on that table, you would eat of whatever is served and gradually reflect what you feed on
